Seven
Biblical meaning: completion, spiritual perfection
Hebrew word: zayin (weapon)
Examples:
1. Lev. 8:31-35 – took Aaron and his sons seven days to consecrate their priesthood
2. Joshua 6:15 – the city of Jericho fell on the seventh day
3. Rev. 6,8 – The Seven Seals
4. Rev. 8-10 – The Seven Trumpets
5. Rev. 16:17 – The Seven Vials
6. Gen. 7:2 – the clean beasts were taken into the Ark by sevens

Other:
- “seven” occurs 287 times in the Old Testament, which is 7x41
- “seventh” occurs 98 times in the Old Testament, which is 7x14
- “seven-fold” occurs 7 times in the Old Testament

Eight
Biblical meaning: new beginning
Hebrew word: chet (fence, inner room, heart)
Examples:
1. Gen. 17:12 – the sons of Abraham were circumcised on the eighth day
2. Ex. 22:29-30 – the firstborn was presented on the eighth day
3. Lev. 9:1,4,24 – God manifested to people on the eighth day
4. John 7:37-39 – Jesus prophesized about the outpouring of the Spirit on the eighth day, the last day of Pentecost

- eight miracles – Elijah performs eight miracles, 1 Kings 17:1, 14-16, 17-23, 18:37-38, 41-45, 2 Kings 1:10, 12, 2:8

Nine
Biblical meaning: visitation, judgment
Hebrew word: teth (snake, surrounded)
Examples:
1. Luke 19:43,44 – Jesus’ visitation judged all

2. Gal. 5:22 – there are nine fruits of the Spirit – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control

3. 1 Cor. 12:8-10 – there are nine gifts of the Spirit – wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, distinguishing of Spirits, speaking in tongues, interpretation of tongues

4. Matt. 5:3-11 – there are nine beatitudes

5. Gen. 17:23-27 – Abraham is 99 years old when he was circumcised, and it is the ninth time his name appears in the Bible, Abraham was circumcised the same time as his son Ishmael, this represents the fulfillment of God’s promise for him to have a son
