Beast of Revelation

The Beast from the Land

A second manifestation of the beast is described in Revelation 13:

Revelation 13:11-12 – And I saw another beast coming up out of the land, and it had two horns, like a lamb, and it was speaking as a dragon, and all authoirty of the first beast doth it do before it, and maketh the land and those dwelling in it that they shall bow before the first beast, whose deadly stroke was healed, (YLT)

This passage says that the beast had two horns like a lamb, but was actually a dragon. This is like the saying “a wolf in sheep’s clothing.” This is referring to organizations that have the appearance of righteousness, but are actually speaking against the word of God. Thus, the beast from the land can be any false religion or secret society. Next, we will discuss several of theses groups.

Order of the Dragon

One important group is the Order of the Dragon. The Order of the Dragon was founded by Sigismund, the King of Hungary in 1408. It was a organization for high nobility and monarchs that claimed to fight the enemies of Christianity. However, they are involved with the occult, alchemy, witchcraft, and vampirism. The Order is what inspired Stroker’s book Dracula in 1897.

They also claimed to be decedents of Jesus Christ, thus giving them authority. These decedents were called the Merovingian line. To do this, they simply fabricated a story about Jesus having a son:

"In AD 53 Jesus junior was officially proclaimed Crown Prince at the synagogue of Corinth, and duly received the Davidic Crown Prince’s title of ‘Justus’ (the Righteous or the Just – Acts 18:7). He thereby formally succeeded his uncle James the Just, as the kingly heir. Having reached the age of 16, Jesus Justus also became the Chief Nazarite that year, gaining entitlement to the black robe of that office – as worn by the priests of Isis, the universal Mother Goddess." – Laurence Gardner, Bloodline of the Holy Grail, p. 110

Notice how they take some truth and mix in some lies. They say that Jesus was a high priest of Jerusalem to fit their story. They also claim that Jesus’ wife was Mary Magdalene, the apostles were conspirators against Rome, Simon Zealotes was actually Simon Magus, John the Baptist was actually a priest, etc. Gardner basically claims that the New Testament is actually a hidden code book for conspirators against the Romans. These views are also seen in the modern novel: The Da Vinci Code written in 2003. Many Christian denominations saw The Da Vinci Code as an new attack on the Church. However, this is a war that has being going on for centuries.

Kabbalah

The Kabbalah is a set of teachings from which Judaism is based on. Since it was an oral tradition, so its origin is unknown. It was not until the late thirteenth century that the Kabbalah was put in writing. The Kabbalah teaches that the Bible is a code book, similar to the Order of the Dragon. They teach that Moses wrote the Old Testament in code to hide the truth about God, and only certain elite Jews can translate it. This is a common theme in false religions. They tend to claim that God gave them some authority, and common people can only reach God through their authority.

The Kabbalah claims that there is two aspects of God: one that created our known universe, and one that is unknowable. This makes sense, however, they push it to the point of Dualism. Dualism is the belief that there are equal powers of good and evil, in a constant, endless battle. Thus, the Kabbalah rejects Satan, angels, and demons. All of this confusion is why Jews are told not to read the Bible, and instead to only read the Talmud, the book that contains Kabbalah teachings. In today’s society, the Kabbalah has spawned the New Age movement.
